Foxtail Millets

This Foxtail millet is grown organically in the valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Foxtail millet is gluten-free and is a good source of carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and protein. Foxtail millet is low in fat, is rich in vitamins, especially niacin (vitamin B3), and minerals such as iron, calcium, and magnesium and also regulates blood sugar levels. It is a healthy alternative to rice and is used in various culinary applications. It can be cooked and consumed as a whole grain, similar to rice. Common dishes made from foxtail millet include porridge, upma (a savory Indian breakfast dish), pulao (a rice dish), and dosa (a South Indian fermented crepe).
